In the mid-2000s, Boys Like Girls dominated the music scene around the globe with their heartfelt songs. Their tracks were on every radio station, and of course, on the Friendster profiles of almost every Filipino.

From their biggest hits like Thunder and The Great Escape to Hero/Heroine, they bring back nostalgic memories of our pop-punk/emo days. This band has serenaded both our happily-in-love selves and broken hearts.

Boys Like Girls was our ultimate go-to for emo music. And, we are so glad they threw off the idea of catering to modern music and scrapped off an entire album of electronic pop-hybrid music—this resulted in the group being in an “indefinite hiatus” back in February 2011.

But in 2016, they announced their short tour in the US to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album released in 2006. And this year, they will be embarking on an exciting tour in Australia and Asia as an extension to this celebration.
